College Swimming Carnival

We have held our college swimming carnival already this year. This "competitors only" event allows our students to experience a professional swim trials event while also having fun with their friends (not to mention a few stray ducks in the pool). We hired a professional timer to help us select our Kingston swimming squad who will compete in the first round of interschool swimming on March 11th.

Payment & Permission Process

Once a team is selected, an event is created on Compass. From here, parents are emailed with a notification that an event requires their attention.

All students who participate in a Kingston Sports team are charged $30 per student, per team. This payment contributes towards the bus, teacher coverage, facility hire and umpire fees. The college supplements the rest.

Deadlines are firm on Compass and if a student does not have permission, they will not be able to attend the competition on the day.

How teams are selected

1. Students sign up via a Microsoft Form posted on Compass.

2. Try-outs occur when we have too many students signing up than available spots for players we need. These are advertised on Compass.

3. Students train with a teacher before/after school or during lunch times.

Please note that students may be removed from a sports team if they fail to complete schoolwork or exhibit poor behaviour in class.
