Teaching and Learning

Mansha Rajasekhar

It has been wonderful to see our classrooms buzzing from the very start of the year with enthusiastic learners. Well done to all the students for such a brilliant start to 2025. Below are some photos showcasing some of the learning activities that our students have been engaging in.

We are also seeing our students putting in effort on their schoolwork at home by regularly completing homework for their subjects. Some students have made the commitment to arrive at school outside of hours to do extra study. This has been a pleasure to see, and our wonderful staff have been supervising these study sessions while also providing extra support to students in the form of one-to-one assistance.

Our Year 7s have settled in nicely at Sandringham College, forming new friendships and getting to know their teachers. They have also completed Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT) for maths and reading, which will give us a better understanding of what students know and how we can support them with their learning.

We are so proud of our students at Sandringham College that we successfully hosted the leadership team of Melbourne High and Albert Park Primary School for a visit. The Principals and Assistant Principals visited classrooms with us and were very impressed with what they saw. Here is some of the positive feedback we received:

‘The classes were orderly, structured and focused.’

‘Classroom routines were well established.’

‘Students were very engaged in the classroom.’

I really look forward to seeing our students thrive in 2025. I know this is going to be a great year.
