International Student Program

Strength, Energy and New Beginnings at Warrandyte High School
As 2026 school ilfe starts, Warrandyte High School’s International Student Program joyfully celebrated Lunar New Year, welcoming the Year of the Horse. In many Asian cultures, the Horse symbolises energy, perseverance, freedom and a positive spirit, qualities that we see every day in our students and across our broader school community.
The celebration brought colour and warmth to our campus, while strengthening cultural appreciation and connection among students. We value the contributions of our international students and thank them for enriching our community with their culture, leadership and enthusiasm.
We wish everyone a joyful, healthy and successful Year of the Horse!
Promoting Balance, Resilience and Success
At Warrandyte High School, the wellbeing of our international students is a key priority. For VCE Years, as students face the academic challenges of Units 1–4 while living far from home, our International Student Program provides targeted support to help them maintain both emotional wellbeing and academic progress.
Our wellbeing initiatives for International students include:
- Regular individual check‑ins focused on stress management, routines and study progress
- Tailored academic support to help students prepare for SACs and manage workloads
- Collaboration with homestay families to ensure students feel safe and supported
- Access to professional wellbeing services when additional support is needed
We remain committed to creating a caring, inclusive environment where every VCE international student feels supported, confident and ready to thrive.
