Facilities

By Mr Michael Oaten, Assistant Principal

2025 has seen considerable improvement works carried out with the aim of improving passive spaces and increasing accessibility throughout the school. Examples of facilities projects across 2025 that have enhanced student safety, engagement and wellbeing have included:

  • New DDA bathroom and change space

  • Ramp installation (e.g., The Kate Mitchell Music & Performing Arts Centre ramp)

  • Quadrangle garden development (native plants and ferns, seating)

  • W portable breezeway beautification (seating, planting, artificial turf)

  • Internal painting of learning spaces

  • Pickleball line painting in the gym

  • New Year 7 lockers

  • Installation of gym fans

  • Safety sensors in toilets

  • Security camera server upgrade

  • Indoor gym bench seating

  • Upgrading of school signage and room numbers (P and T portables)

Over the summer break, works will be well underway with the Administration Office, Reception, and First Aid refurbishment. This project will modernise these spaces and create a safer and more conducive work environment for staff. Although the entrance foyer will remain largely untouched, the slight tweaking of the new reception area will be more welcoming for parents/carers and visitors, whilst maintaining the traditional foyer entrance.

In 2026, further exploration into our Technology Centre redevelopment will take place, along with planning for a new science lab to be created in an existing learning space. These exciting projects were approved to proceed in 2026 through consultation and approval by School Council (November meeting).

  • Building upgrades and modifications
  • IT system enhancements
