VCE Outdoor Environment Studies Overnight Snow Camp Experience

Our snow camp was a huge success.  It was one of those events where the students were able to make some great memories that last a lifetime. The really made a huge effort in learning to ski and this was made extra challenging by having to carry a pack up to the camping spot. The students were rewarded with a beautiful sunny afternoon on the cross-country snow trails; skiing through the snow gums and racing up and down the slopes.    

One of the special parts of our camps is always our evening reflection where we all listen to each other share something they were pleased with and something they were thankful for - it was great to hear so many positive comments from students about being proud of what they could achieve and attempt.

The levels of determination, effort, resilience and growth in the students were infinite.   There were some wonderful sights that will stay with me for a very long time; especially considering that so many students had never seen snow before!   Well done to all!
