Year 11 Foods
The Year 11 Food Studies students enthusiastically embraced their latest school assessed coursework by planning and preparing food for the school production of Chicago. We planned two Valleydale Speakeasy Soirees - preshow canapes and cocktails (mocktails) in the Café. The Café was transformed into a 1920’s themed bar and students worked tirelessly planning for and producing food for these events. Students also made food for intermission which was a huge task, but again enthusiastically embraced by the students. Congratulations and thank you to all the students for their efforts.
Year 10 Cafe Culture
Café Culture students recently completed a whole day coffee training incursion. We had a really great day learning all aspects of coffee making, including the parts of the coffee machine, extraction, milk texturing and learning how to make all the different styles of coffees. Students are now consolidating these skills by practicing coffees for staff and are progressing really well.
