Maths Games Day

On August 18th, eight of our keen Year 7 mathematicians had the opportunity to represent our school at the annual Maths Games Day, hosted at Tintern Grammar and organised by the Mathematical Association of Victoria.

The event brought together teams of students from schools across the region to take on a variety of problem-solving challenges designed to promote collaboration, creativity and critical thinking in mathematics. Our students formed two teams of four and worked together to tackle puzzles, logic problems and mathematical games in a fun and competitive environment.

The day was made even more engaging with the support of Tintern Grammar’s senior students, who hosted the event and guided activities. It was fantastic to see older students leading the day and inspiring younger students to embrace a love of mathematics.

Our students represented the school with enthusiasm, teamwork and a positive spirit throughout the day.
