Group 5 

Animal Adventures

Term 3 has been a wonderful adventure as Group 5 explored the “Fur and Feathers” theme. We travelled around the world through our learning, discovering different types of animals and their habitats. We learned about African animals, Arctic animals, Australian animals, Forest animals and more.  The children enjoyed playing with our animal figurines, finding hidden animals in different pictures and searching for animals around our classroom. We practiced answering simple “Where” questions, like “Where is the camel?” and read many books about the different animal homes. The students enjoyed listening to animal sounds and songs. Some personal favorites were “Alice the Camel” and songs about ocean creatures!

The students have been busy creating lots of wonderful animal-themed crafts! They made desert landscapes, jars filled with bugs, jellyfish and insects. Group 5 has also started working hard on their special Art Show project. We are very excited to share! It has been a fun-filled and creative term, and we are so proud of all the learning and exploring the students have done. We are now looking forward to Term 4 and all the exciting learning and adventures still to come!
