Group 20 

This term has seen students in group 20 advance their skills in many areas of the curriculum. They have focused their attention on the Sciences, Mathematics Technology and the Arts. 

Targeted group-based activities and experiments have proven that learning can be practical, fun and accessed by all. Students have further had the opportunity to delve into the secondary life skills program and welcomed the new addition of our mini-Woollies store. This is aimed at fostering lifelong learning, independence and collaboration with community. 

Working alongside core curriculum areas, we have also had the benefit of focused incursions and theme-based topics. These were Wallara STEM and book week festivities which have included students being able to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character. 

Our class has enjoyed being part of the school mural design project that will be a key feature in the completed fairy garden. We have also been fortunate enough to receive a newly designed outside area for secondary students. This has consisted of an array of swings and sensory equipment which students have eagerly embraced and will undoubtedly ensure student learning, engagement and participation well into the future.
