Group 10

Group 10 has had a really fun Term 3! Students have engaged in a bunch of different learning experiences as we celebrated NAIDOC Week, Book Week, Science Week and Literacy & Numeracy week this term. Students engaged with a variety of different activities, Science experiments, art projects and books related to these topics. 

This term, students have continued to enjoy participating in specialist subjects like STEM, P.E, Swimming, Art and Food Tech. In particular, they have loved our new cooking routine where students follow a method and steps to make their own toast. 

Group 10 have continued to engage and follow their schedule throughout each day. They have slowly transitioned to a new work system which is differentiated for each student, targeting each individuals IEP goals while also being motivating and engaging for them. We are so proud of how well they have adapted to this change and how focused they are on their learning. 

Speaking of change, Group 10 welcomes Tyra as a new Education Support in our classroom. She has loved being here this term and the students have all developed a strong relationship with her. 

We have also been focused on our theme for this Term “Fur and Feathers”, where students have engaged in a variety of different activities based around animals and sensory play. In our reading corner, the books and music have specifically been “Fur and Feather” themed – with lots of different sensory books to choose from! Students also participated in different arts and crafts; painting their own chicken and using feathers to glue on their tail, using cotton balls to create sheep and in Art they created Eastern Rosella’s!

We are so proud of Group 10 this Term and we are looking forward to the next theme “Space”! Thanks for your ongoing support,
