Group 6

Group 6 has a very successful and fun term 3! 

We have been practicing our sharing skills during table games. Students have been working hard to take turns during shared games and sharing materials from the same box. During table games group 6 has done a wonderful job at learning a new routine and practicing their fine motor skills.

A highlight of term 3 was book week. The students enjoyed getting dressed up and sharing their favourite character with their peers. We had students dress up as spiderman, an astronaut, Peter rabbit and even a unicorn. Group 6 loved getting lots of photos in their costume. We celebrated book week with a super fun dance party/ Parade with our early year’s peers. During book week we even had the senior students come read for us, Group 6 got involved by listening to students read to them and engaging in feeling the book that was being read. 

Our shared reading sessions have been very successful this term, we have been linking these sessions to our school’s theme ‘Feathers and Fur’. A fan favourite was our desert animal week where students completed a fun silhouette artwork of their favourite desert animal, we also did a fun sensory hide and seek then completed a writing task to finish off the lesson. 

It has been wonderful to see the amazing progress students have made this term, Group 6 is becoming more independent in their routines and are learning to share space with their peers. We are so proud of the hard work from Group 6!
