Group 11 

Group 11 has had a wonderful Term 3! It has been a very special term for me as I have joined Group 11 as the new teacher and have had the opportunity to get to know Abel, Aaran, Aryan, Dyllan, Jorgi, Jacob and Aynan and their individual strengths and interests. It has been lovely building positive relationships with the children and getting to know them throughout the term.

A big focus this term has been developing their communication, independence and social skills. The children have been working on making choices and following classroom routines and engaging alongside their peers during group activities, play and learning experiences. Group 11 have particularly enjoyed music, where sensory experiences have been incorporated to encourage engagement, exploration and participation. Sensory play has also been a strong focus within the classroom this term. The children have enjoyed exploring a variety of sensory activities and materials, allowing them to engage their senses while developing their fine motor skills, attention and ability to participate in shared experiences. It has been wonderful to see the students becoming more comfortable exploring new sensory experiences. The highlight of Term 3 has been our weekly baking sessions. Group 11 have loved getting involved in preparing and making different foods, the children have particularly enjoyed being able to see and taste what they have created!

I am incredibly proud of Group 11 and all that they have achieved throughout Term 3. It has been a pleasure getting to know each child, learning about what makes them unique and watching them grow in confidence and independence.
