The Prefect Report

A message from our Prefects

We’re excited to launch a new feature in our newsletter – The Prefect Report. This section will highlight updates from our elected Prefects, showcasing the initiatives they’re driving and the activities they’re coordinating across the school. It will also include a “Get to Know Our Prefects” spotlight, giving our community the chance to learn more about our student leaders

Remembrance Day

Today's Remembrance Day was a new experience for me. Although I have attended a Remembrance Day every year, it was new to participate in the ceremony at the Cathedral. It was an honour to have the privilege of laying down the wreath and paying our respect to the soldiers who fought and died for us to be able to live in the Australia we are blessed with today.

The leadership conference in Albury was a great opportunity for the prefect team to grow and gain ideas as individuals on leadership and how to share and make their ideas come to life. As well as bonding as a team and expanding our social skills through talking and getting to know others from different schools. Overall, it was a great day out as a group, and I can't wait to implement the skills we learnt into our plans to better the school and community.

I don't have one, sorry

Future project/activity/achievement you would like to see at Wangaratta High School:

I would love to organise and run a greatest shave day at our school, where kids cut or shave their hair to fundraise money for people with leukemia.
