Sport: Kaity Ford

Triple Threat Sportsgirl

Year 9 student Kaity Ford has had an outstanding year across Football, Netball and Basketball. At just 15, she’s believed to be the first girl in our region to:

• Play both Murray Bushrangers and V-Line Cup in Football

• Play Wangaratta Warriors and VJBL in Basketball

• Win an Ovens & Murray Best & Fairest in Netball

Kaity, a Merriwa House Captain, recently claimed the Netball B&F for her U15 Corowa Rutherglen team, and earlier competed in the V/Line Cup in Ballarat and the U16 Murray Bushrangers program in Bendigo. She has now been selected for the 2026 U16 Bushrangers pre-season squad.

In Basketball, she won a Junior Country Championships title with the Warriors and previously played VJBL for NE Border Bushrangers.

At school, Kaity has represented us 31 times across 14 sports in two years. Highlights include explosive Super 8 Cricket performances, scoring 59 off 9 balls and 40 off 4, and she will Captain our Cricket team in next week’s State Quarter Final.

Kaity is the younger sibling of Tom and Jack, making for one of the strongest sporting families in our school’s history.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Kaity.
