Sport: Intermediate Cricket

State Top 8 Girls Cricket Team

 

Our Intermediate Girls wrapped up their history-making 2025 season yesterday, finishing Top 8 in Victoria after a tough SSV State Quarter Final loss to a powerful Balwyn High School side.

 

In the first School Sport Victoria final ever hosted on our campus, our girls set a solid total of 5/109 from 20 overs. Co-Captain Kaity Ford top-scored with a brave 35 not out, returning to bat after being struck twice by fierce bouncers. Inanay Gilson (10) was the only other to reach double figures against quality bowling.

 

Balwyn chased the target in the 16th over (2/110), with wickets to Gilson and Jedda Driscoll. It was a strong showing from our side — none of whom play club cricket — against a team featuring several state and Premier League players.
