Sport: Triathlon Merlin Tzaros

Congratulations again to Year 11 Merlin Tzaros who has won his 2nd medal at the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Wollongong.

This time it was a Silver Medal for the 16-year old, finishing 2nd in the Mixed Team Relay for the 16-19 age group, as part of his 4-person Australian team.

That gives him 2 medals from 2 events at his 1st World Championships, after his Bronze in the individual 16-19 Age Group Sprint. 

A considerable achievement for a bottom-ager who will be in the same age group again next year.  Not to mention a significant gluteal injury sustained just 10 weeks out.

We can’t wait see you back there next year.
