Head Start supports students to complete an apprenticeship or traineeship alongside their senior secondary education.

Qualification:     Certificate III in Individual Support 

Workplace:         Illora / North East Health

 

Stevie has successfully completed her Certificate III in Individual Support this year, as a SBAT with Illora/North East Health.  This is no mean feat as she has done so alongside her year 11 VCE studies.

 

Di McIntosh; Student Coordinator from NE Health Wangaratta, commended Stevie, as this is the first time in eleven years that an Illora SBAT has completed the coursework before the Graduation ceremony held at the Aged Care facility at the end of October. This is a true credit to Stevie’s organisation skills and the hard work she committed to achieving this goal. 

 

She has completed this Certificate III in 8 months and is now a qualified Personal Care Attendant (PCA) who will work in the supported care/aged care industry. She will continue her year 12 VCE studies at Wang High next year.

 

Well done Stevie.
