Prospect Eco Market has moved to a new venue for its first market for 2018 on Saturday 24 March from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

The Eco Market will be held inside the state heritage listed former Tram Barn as well as expand outdoors at Prospect Council’s depot, corner of Johns and Main North Road, Prospect.

Prospect Local Environment Group, organiser of the Prospect Eco Market,  is excited at returning to the Johns Road venue after its successful Giant Community Garage sale was held there in 2016.

This new venue means the Eco Market can still retain its successful format of stalls inside and outside with gazebos, food and drink vans.

Browse stalls selling a range of environment-friendly products  (alternatives to plastic products such as bamboo toothbrushes, compostable coffee pods and toxin free sun-cream;  Kangaroo Island Bee Wrap;  Eco-Friendly Fruit & Veg Bags: modern cloth nappies; eco-friendly home cleaning products ).

Hand-crafted items available (natural dyed textiles and fragrances; chopping boards, butchers blocks and servers;beaded bracelets and dreamcatchers; jewellery; new and vintage fabric creations).

Feast on home-made produce (vegan and gluten-free desserts, gourmet brownies, onion-based jarred condiments; authentic Dutch biscuits, jams). Try Fairy Floss, Pop-Corn, Milk-Shakes & Authentic Turkish Coffee and Prospect Blair Athol Lions Club BBQ).

Hayes Honey stall  will have a complete miniature observation beehive - peek inside to see more than 5,000 live bees at work and taste the delicious raw honey they produce.  See if you can spot the queen or find a drone.

Dog-owners - look out for the  stall with healthy dog treats  for your pets .

Support local groups (Prospect Community Garden, Prospect Local History Group, Tram Barn Alliance and market organisers, Prospect Local Environment Group).
