Primary School News

Congratulations to the boys from Spence House who won the recent Primary Swimming Carnival!

From the Primary School

There have been many events and activities that have kept the boys and staff busy over the last few weeks. Our Open Day was an excellent means of highlighting our school to the public and showcasing the resources and programs we have. We are fortunate to have excellent Primary Monitors to lead tours of the Primary School and did so with great aplomb and sociability. Thanks to all the staff who made themselves available for the evening.

Another occasion that seemed enjoyable for all was the Primary (Year 3 -6) Swimming Carnival. Superbly organised by Mr Nick Cheary, the day was one of inclusive involvement and fun. Strong performances by the Spence House saw them narrowly win the Carnival but everyone needs to be congratulated for the great sportsmanship and excellent behaviour displayed. Special thanks to Mr Baldacchino and his Year 11 PE class for their help throughout the day. Finally it was so pleasing to see so many families cheering on their boys. Well done to all involved.

We are closing in on a very special liturgical time with Easter around the corner. It is always important to emphasise the significance of this time and not get swept up by the commercialism that seems to dominate the environment. Let your family enjoy their eggs but remind them of the true meaning of Easter.

Have a happy, holy and safe Easter.

Mr Frank Ali
