Library News

This week the boys were treated to “The Wonderful World of Roald Dahl.” Some of Roald Dahl’s famous works including The Enormous Crocodile, The Twits, Revolting Rhymes, The BFG, James and the Giant Peach and Dirty Beasts were performed for the Primary School. The performers were ably assisted by a group of Year 5 actors as well as a group of Reception children who had a walk on/walk off role. The children were familiar with several of the stories but enjoyed seeing them come to life in a stage presentation. The boys have been encouraged to visit the library to borrow these and other fabulous books from Roald Dahl.

In the Senior School, Boori Monty Pryor paid his annual visit to entertain the Year 8 students. His humorous stories and friendly nature is always a winner. His visits always see a rush on his books My Girragundji and The Binna Binna Man in the Senior Library and we often struggle to keep up with demand. The library staff also had to opportunity to catch up with Boori later and Mrs Schwarz and Miss Adderley were only too happy to help promote his wonderful stories.
