Host Families Needed

The French Department is seeking two families interested in participating in a reciprocal exchange to Lycée la Mennais in Guérande, the West of France. We have two students seeking home stays with families of Warrnambool College. Their families are also able to accomodate students from our school early next year.  The students from France would come here July-October this year, and ours would be able to return in January next year.

If you’re interested or would like further information, please email Alex Deal at  deal.alexandra.a@edumail.vic.gov.au before April 20th.

Merci!

Warrnambool College Murray to Moyne Film Night

Last Friday night, 29th March, over 120 people were at the Capitol Cinema in Warrnambool to support the Warrnambool College Murray to Moyne cycling team.  We enjoyed supper and wine before the film, and then we were provided with the opportunity to watch the only Warrnambool screening of the British comedy ‘Swimming with Men’.  Whilst it may not win an Oscar the film provided plenty of laughs and a good night was enjoyed by all.

Team members would like to sincerely thank everybody who supported the night, and as a result over $1600 was raised which will go towards equipment in the Children’s Ward at South West Healthcare in Warrnambool.

Special thanks to McMahon Family Catering for the donation of two platters of food.

The team is heading to Mildura Friday afternoon to begin pedalling back on Saturday.  We will let you know soon about opportunities to support further fundraising in the form of wine sales.
