There is an old saying: “Christians are made, not born.” Faith is a journey - one that begins with curiosity, questions and a desire to discover more about God.

Perhaps you have been thinking about becoming Catholic, completing your Sacraments of Initiation, or simply exploring what faith means for you. Whatever has brought you to this point, we invite you to take the next step with us. Emmaus Parish is beginning its 2026–2027 RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) journey.

Join the Emmaus Parish Councils

The Emmaus Parish Pastoral Council and Finance Council are being renewed, and we are inviting members of our parish community to consider becoming involved. We are especially keen to encourage parents from our parish schools to consider whether they may have the skills, experience and interest to contribute to the future of our parish.

The Pastoral Council is a key consultative group that works closely with the priests of the Parish and is responsible for helping guide the pastoral and strategic mission direction of Emmaus. Important qualities include prayerful discernment, deep listening, strategic mission thinking and collaborative leadership. Experience in areas such as education, communications, governance, law, social services or project management may also be valuable.

The Finance Council provides advice on the responsible stewardship of parish resources and helps ensure that our financial and property decisions support the Gospel mission of Emmaus Parish. Financial literacy, strategic thinking, property and asset experience, prudential judgement and good governance are particularly valuable.
