Year 2 News

Last week was Bullying No Way Week, and the theme this year was “Small Acts, Big Impact”. Small acts are little kind things like including someone, helping a friend, using kind words. Small acts can make others feel happy and safe. We created a ripple artwork to show how even our small acts of kindness can radiate out and effect those around us.

As part of our learning about Bullying No Way Week, we were lucky enough to participate in the Kids Helpline online webinar. We learnt about what bullying is, and isn’t, and we learnt how to be upstanders. After our webinar, we even role played a few scenarios to show how we can follow these three simple steps:

  1. Pause
  2. Think
  3. Take action

We were also lucky enough to participate in the Dance Curriculum. We had such a good time!

Well done to 2NA who hosted assembly on Friday. A huge well done to students for their beautiful singing and their excellent presentation.
