Bundoora Primary School Athletics Carnival

The Bundoora Primary School Athletics Carnival was held on Monday, 3 August. We were treated to beautiful sunshine, and there was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

Students from Years 3 to 6 enthusiastically competed in a range of events, including high jump, long jump, the 100-metre sprint and the 200-metre race. It was wonderful to see students encouraging one another, displaying great sportsmanship and giving their best effort in every event.

Mr Kret has now finalised the shot put and discus results and selected the team that will represent Bundoora Primary School at the District Athletics Carnival. The team will compete on Thursday, 20 August, at Meadow glen Athletics Track.

Ribbons from our school carnival are being presented today, and we would like to congratulate all students on their achievements. Some outstanding individual results included:

Beau Vunivalu – winner of all seven events he competed in
Aryana Tarash – winner of six events
JJ Partridge – winner of five events
Menula Hanthi – winner of three events

We wish every member of the district team the very best and know they will represent Bundoora Primary School with pride. We also look forward to seeing plenty of parent support throughout the day. Good luck, team Bundoora!
