There were tutus, homemade T-shirts, face glitter, colourful hair and bright colours everywhere; and that was just the outfits! Our Preps certainly know how to celebrate in style!
We did it! On Thursday 30th July, our Preps proudly celebrated being 100 Days Brighter, marking an incredible 100 days of learning, growing, laughing and making memories together.
The excitement was high from the very beginning as the students dived into a range of fun, hands-on activities. Working together, they built towers using 100 cups, sorted churros into ten frames and then threaded 100 pieces onto string to create a delicious (and very tempting!) edible necklace. There was also plenty of creativity and concentration as they decorated their very own ‘100’ cookies. Of course, the most difficult part may have been waiting long enough to actually eat them!
And then… silence finally arrived! Hot chips and juice were delivered to the Preps on their very own personally designed placemats. After all that excitement, those chips were certainly well deserved! A huge thank you to Dayna Rixon, Kristina and all the teachers who helped organise and serve lunch; and who somehow managed to keep up with the copious requests for sauce! We’re not sure whether the chips or the sauce was the bigger hit!
It was also wonderful to welcome our parents, carers and families into the classroom for a special afternoon together. There was plenty of colouring, crown creating, chatting and sharing of smiles as we celebrated this very special milestone together.
Our Preps have come such a long way in their first 100 days of school, and they should be incredibly proud of themselves. 100 days down, and so many more wonderful learning adventures to come!
What a bright, colourful, glittery and delicious day it was!
