Book Week

The Foundation students had an amazing day dressing up as their favourite book characters, participating in different literacy activities and enjoying a visit from Andrea Rowe.

Writing

During our weekend recount writing sessions, we have been focusing on including a where, who, what and how we felt. We have been doing a fantastic job at making sure our recounts include these. 

Reading

We have also been enjoying a range of First Nations texts, giving students opportunities to explore culture, stories and perspectives while making connections to the world around them.

Numeracy

For our numeracy lessons, we have been learning about ordinal numbers and subtraction. We took our learning outside to enjoy the sunny weather by participating in running races and finding different collections of items and ordering them from smallest to tallest.
