What a wonderful Book Week! It was fantastic to see students dressed as their favourite book characters for our Book Parade. Students also enjoyed a special visit from Australian author Andrea Rowe, who shared her love of books, writing and storytelling.

In Literacy, we have begun our poetry unit. Students have been reading and creating poems while exploring rhyme, repetition, patterns, alliteration and structure. It has been wonderful to see them having fun and getting creative with words!

In Numeracy, students explored mass and capacity through hands-on activities involving estimating, comparing and measuring using different units and tools. We have now moved onto additive patterns, learning to recognise, continue and describe patterns that increase or decrease by the same amount.

In Inquiry, we have continued our Geography unit, Mapping Our World. Students have been identifying natural and constructed features and exploring their purpose.
