Writing

Over the past few weeks, our students have been engaging in mini-workshops to help enhance our writing skills. Narratives are our focus at the moment and instead of working specifically on structure we are working through a range of challenges that focus on pacing, detailing our environment and other writers techniques alongside a “Chase” prompt. It has been an exciting time. Please take the time to enjoy some snippets of our work.

Maths

In recent weeks our maths has had us tuned in to the language of maths.

We have been working to read and calculate time, use clocks and calendars to solve problems, explain thinking and apply strategies that allow us to calculate elapsed time. Our students have also been working with directional language and co-ordinates.

Book Week Celebrations

Thankyou to all our families for helping to make our Book Week celebrations lots of fun. The kids had a great day and we loved sharing our costumes at the parade as well as spending time with our visiting author. We picked up many cool writing tips to add to our own work.
