Opportunities for students - Canberra leadership

Helen Haines MP, our Federal parliamentary member, asked me to share these opportunities and competitions with you all.
Country to Canberra Leadership Competition (female students aged 16 by Nov 2024 in Year 10, 11 or 12)
Country to Canberra is accepting entries for its 2025 Leadership Competition, giving entrants the chance to receive a once-in-a-lifetime ‘Power Trip to
Canberra’.
To enter, applicants are asked to prepare a response to: “Technology and innovation are redefining the future of gender equality in our rural communities”. Entrants can submit a 400-600 word written response, 3-4 minute video, a visual piece with a 300-400 word justification, or a pitch of a product or service.

Heywire Competition
This is a lived-experience storytelling competition open to young people aged 16-22 living in rural, regional and remote Australia. Entries must reflect a
true story about your life, and can be submitted in text, video, or audio format.

Heywire Trailblazers
This program encourages applications from young people aged 18-28, who have started social, educational, environmental or economic development projects in
their community.
Successful applications will be supported to expand their professional networks, apply for funding through the Sally Foundation's Trailblazers Development Fund and more.
