YEAR 9 CLC Program

New Cohort Makes Tremendous Start

Our Semester 2 cohort of Year 9's in our beloved C.L.C (Community Leadership Challenge) program have made a great start .

They have engaged in various individual and team challenges based at the C.L.C HQ on campus, including an epic Minute-To-Win-It tournament (with many all-time records broken), Human Foosball, making a Gratitude Tree, completing First Aid Training, and Singing & Dancing challenges etc, pushing them out of their comfort zones.

Taylah Wyatt etched her name on to the C.L.C Honour Boards, winning the Paper-Scissors-Rock tournament, beating Logan Webb in the Final.

Jeremy Bagley and Taylah Wyatt broke the all-time Table Bounce challenge with 9. eclipsing the top score of 7 by Leo Woodburne and Elijah Grant from Sem 1.

The Human Bingo Social Intelligence game was won by Asher Hardman from Zeke Hogan, Logan Ring, Andrew Fraser and Aidan Smith, with Amelia Nicolosi the top girl.

New student Tahlia Houston led the Singing Challenge, volunteering her table to sing Katy Perry's hit "California Girls", Amelia Nicolosi got the room singing Lady Gaga's "Judas" and then the whole room was up dancing the "Macarena", before the end of Day 1.

On Day 2, Zeke Hogan top scored in the Human Foosball with 5 goals, while Jeremy Bagley and new student Obert Marufu snaring three each, and Asher Hardman scoring a brace (2). Marufu incredibly scored the opening three goals of the match, in his very first session at Wangaratta High School.

Remi Thewlis proved her Social Intelligence, winning the Getting-To-Know-Everyone Kahoot full of personal facts shared by the group, with Jas Harper and Tarni White equal 2nd, and Tahlia Houston 4th.

The team Wordle Challenge, was taken out by Taylah Wyatt, Jeremy Bagley, Will Sayers and Poppy Scholte

Their First Aid training  came complete with CPR and Epipen simulations, and the weekly traditions such our C.L.C Family Lunch (Toaties, Hot Chocolate and Fruit) and the Kindness Box are on board as usual.

A fantastic Excursion Season awaits including trips to Lake William Hovelll, Bouldering at Buffalo Boulders, Bounce, Parkour, Golf and many more, which will prepare them for their weekly Volunteering in Term 4.

Thanks to the group for being so outstanding, so early in the program.

Semester 1 CLC Magazine

To celebrate our celebrate Semester 1 of our CLC Program, we proudly present the following magazine:

Rather than waiting to publish giant issues at the end of the year (as we did in 2023 and 2024), this year we will publish them term-by-term.

These "smaller chunks of steak" will be easier to chew on throughout the year, and also keep our achievements fresh in everyone's mind.

The complete whole-year Yearbooks will also be published at year's end, as we know a lot of you like to save them and store as a keepsake.

Thank you to all players, families and staff involved in both programs so far in 2025.

We look forward to another massive few months in Term 3.
