Year 11 Health & Human Development Excursion

Exploring our Health & Wellbeing

As part of their Health and Human Development studies, the Year 11 students have been exploring the importance of maintaining overall health and wellbeing.

They’ve been learning about the five interrelated dimensions of health: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and mental, and how each contributes to a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

To complement their classroom learning, the students recently took part in an engaging and active excursion.

On Friday, August 1, they attended a reformer Pilates class at WSAC (Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre). For many students, it was their first time using a reformer machine—an experience that proved both challenging and enjoyable.

The class not only pushed them physically but also highlighted how exercise can support all dimensions of wellbeing. Students left the session feeling energized and more aware of how physical activity can positively impact their overall health.

It was a valuable and fun experience that they are looking forward to repeating again.
