Year 7 & 8

Boundless fun in the bush

Last week was all about an unforgettable camp experience at Jarrahfall Bush Camp in Dwellingup. From Monday to Wednesday, students embraced every opportunity thrown their way, including orienteering, rock climbing, abseiling, the flying fox, archery, mountain biking, team building challenges, and even a night walk through the forest where there were some surprises which gave them a good laugh.

With great weather, peaceful bush surroundings and comfortable accommodation, the stage was set for students to connect, challenge themselves and make new friendships. Our staff were particularly impressed by the students’ participation, encouragement of one another, and positive attitude across all activities.

A sincere thank you to all staff who attended camp and ensured everything ran smoothly, and a special thank you to Ms Yoxall for her work in organising this.

Meanwhile, our Year 7 students have continued to show diligence and enthusiasm in both their academic and co-curricular commitments. We are especially looking forward to their Science excursion to the Perth Zoo this Tuesday, where they will be deepening their understanding of ecosystems and animal adaptations as part of their science studies.

It is fantastic to witness our students grow in resilience, curiosity, and community spirit, whether outside or inside the classroom. We look forward to what the rest of the term holds for both cohorts.
