On Friday of Week 4, our school community came together for a special Free Dress Day for All Saints Samoa.
Two of our Year 10 students, Ella Moffat and Jonty Keys, will be heading to Samoa on a Service-Learning trip during the June/July holidays. They will spend time at All Saints Anglican School, immersing themselves in the local culture and assisting with children's learning and daily life. This unique opportunity will allow them to grow in empathy, leadership, and global awareness.
We’re thrilled to share that thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our students and staff, we raised a fantastic $646.55!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make the day a success. Your support will go a long way in helping our students make a meaningful impact during their time in Samoa.
In Week 5, our Year 8s headed off to beautiful Dwellingup for an unforgettable camp experience! From the moment we arrived, the energy, enthusiasm, and kindness shown by our students set the tone for a fantastic few days filled with adventure, growth, and plenty of fun.
This camp provided the perfect opportunity for students to challenge themselves and connect more deeply with their peers. Whether it was riding mountain bikes through the winding bush trails, ducking and weaving in archery tag, exploring forest ecology, caring for animals, scaling heights on the abseiling wall and rock climbing tower, soaring through the air on the flying fox, having a spontaneous karaoke sessions on the oval or navigating through orienteering and team-building activities—every student found moments to shine. In the evenings, students enjoyed the serenity of the bush during a night walk and were treated to some breathtaking stargazing. These slower moments offered time to reflect, bond, and appreciate the beauty of our natural surroundings.
What stood out most across the camp was the incredibly supportive and caring nature of this Year 8 cohort. Students consistently cheered each other on, stepped up as leaders, treated everyone with kindness, and showed great resilience when faced with challenges. Watching new friendships form and existing ones strengthen was a true highlight for staff.
We are so proud of every student who took part in this camp—they approached each day with a positive attitude, a willingness to try new things, and genuine encouragement for one another.
A huge thank you goes to the amazing staff who made this camp possible. Their energy, care, and dedication helped create a safe and enjoyable environment for all. Special thanks to Mr Tom Dempers, Mr Richard Truong, Ms Madeleine Bune, Ms Lynda Lane, Mr Tim Johansen, Ms Maisy Watson, Mrs Lynette Taylor, Ms Jade Bauer and Mr Adam Edwards, whose efforts behind the scenes and throughout the camp ensured everything ran smoothly and every student felt supported.
Well done, Year 8s—you’ve made some brilliant memories and shown what a connected, compassionate, and adventurous group you are. We can’t wait to see how you continue to grow from this experience!
