International Mindedness at ENPS

At ENPS we strive to develop international mindedness by having a strong sense of ‘self’ and an awareness and acceptance of other cultures, countries and customs. Being internationally minded at ENPS means we are respectful, knowledgeable and open to connecting with our world and its people, and that we recognise, understand and value diversity.
We encourage all community members to become active global citizens and compassionate lifelong learners. By learning about each other, our cultures and backgrounds, we are all learning to be better global citizens.
We warmly welcome our families to share their cultural celebrations during the year with our community, and if you would like to contribute or highlight a cultural tradition, please feel free to contact us at essendon.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au at any time.
This month, we continue our journey as global learners by exploring the traditions and significance of Lunar New Year and Ramadan. Please head to the following two pages to read more and learn alongside us.
ENPS Guiding Statements
At Essendon North Primary School, we are very proud of the guiding statements that shape who we are as a learning community. These include our school vision, mission, tagline and four guiding principles. Together, these statements guide everything we do as a school and all the decisions we make.

We are global learners and leaders, exceeding expectations.
Our Mission
We maximise the potential of all; empowering independence, excellence, innovation and connection with the world.
Our Four Guiding Principles

Personal and social wellbeing
Our Tagline
We are brave, bold and connected.
One of our guiding statements, Critical Engagement with the World, is embedded in all our practices. It emphasises the importance of developing a strong sense of self and personal identity while nurturing students as compassionate, engaged global citizens ready to make a positive impact.
