Middle Years update
We’re well and truly back at school and in the rhythm of Term 2. The winter chill is creeping in after our first couple of weeks (of 10 weeks this term) of beautiful sunny autumn weather.
Our Year 7 students are settled and things are much more familiar now, after their first term of high school when everything was so new and perhaps at times overwhelming.
Our Year 8s students have already completed their Term 2 Connect day last Friday which was a big success of teamwork, fun and a break from the regular timetabled classes.
Our Year 9s have settled into their new LiveLife modules and groups. The consistent work ethic of endeavour is being reinforced in their classroom work and hopefully at home as well as the students get ready for their Year 10 subject selections early next term. I would like to make special mention of our students who have just begun their term at the Alpine School with the Schools for Student Leadership program:- Leander Reichenbach, Oliver Vojvoda, Riya Choudhari, Abigail Hahn and Vivian Thi. Have a great term of leadership learning and challenges.
There are many Wellbeing, Mentoring and Student Leadership programs running this term for our Middle School students. Here is an example of some of the programs that our students will be participating in:

Coming up in less than two weeks is our annual Athletics Day on Thursday 14 May. The dress code for this event will be PE uniform, house colours or this year’s themed attire of "Lights, Camera, Athletics!".
Lastly, a quick reminder about school uniform: students are to only wear PE uniform (navy blue shorts and/or navy blue tracksuit pants - not black shorts or pants) on the days of practical PE classes or Sport Ed. Also hoodies are not allowed at school (students may wear a white undergarment). Black oxford style leather shoes are part of the correct academic uniform.
