College Notices

To avoid disappointment, be sure to consent and pay for events before cut off date!
Event Consent/Payments:
Koonung Secondary College operates under an events policy that requires parents and carers to make payments and give necessary consent to the school at least three days before the event. Excursions, activities and camps require significant administration and financial commitment. The College needs to use the three days prior to an event to ensure financial and attendance commitments can be met.
For this reason, all events published on Compass are set up to expire three days before the event takes place. This means parents and carers will not be able to see, pay or consent for an event on Compass after the expiry date. To ensure smooth running of events and your child’s ability to participate, we ask that parents and carers adhere to the three day policy. By regularly checking their Compass account, parents and carers will be alerted to upcoming events as soon as they are published.

Important Uniform information for 2026
Please note that Year 7 students in 2026 are required to purchase both the new sublimated dark blue sports polo (not the light blue shirt) and the soft-shell jacket (not the spray jacket). Both the spray jacket and light blue polo sports shirt are being phased out and are not available for sale to 2026 Year 7 and 8 students through the second-hand uniform shop. Both items will also be removed from the second-hand uniform shop at the end of Term 2 and will not be collected for sale in 2026.
Please also note that in 2026, due to Victorian Government changes, the Koonung logo is not required on either Sports uniform shorts or tracksuit pants. As per the Koonung logo guide, shorts must only be Navy in colour in stretch micro fibre (no other colours) and track suit pants must be cotton, Navy in colour only and preferably with a zipped pocket.
SPORTS UNIFORM: worn for PE, Sport Education and Sports Competitions
Sports polo: A new PE polo top was introduced in 2025 and this item is compulsory for all Year 7 and 8 students. Years 9-10 may continue to wear the existing polo top for a 3 year transition period (until the end of 2027)
Soft shell Jacket: Koonung soft shell jacket with Koonung logo (for PE/ Sport Ed classes, and all excursions where academic uniform is not worn*). The new soft shell jacket will replace the spray jacket. Years 9-10 will have the option of wearing the spray jacket during a transition period of 3 years (until the end of 2027)
*Students may wear the soft-shell jackets in Terms 2 and 3 with their academic uniform
