Kai Lane is a proud Yorta-Yorta Barapa-Barapa man, with connections to Dja Dja Wurrung and Wurundjeri Country. Kai will welcome attendees to the land of the Wurundjeri people and will treat those present to a Yidaki (didgeridoo) performance.
‘7 Seasons’ film and talk
There will be a short documentary, ‘7 Seasons’, focussing on indigenous environmental knowledge and its relevance to the climate. There will then be a presentation by the film’s director, Clancy Lester.
‘More Than a Fish Kill’ documentary
This film tells the story of a collaboration of diverse groups who came together after fish deaths along the Darling River. It interweaves art, science and ancient knowledge to care for communities, honour our rivers and reshape how we live – now and into the future.
When: 7:30 to 9:30pm, arrive at 7pm
