Start to the semester
The past few weeks with Year 10 Peer Support have been a whirlwind! Getting to know the classes seemed a bit challenging at first, but as soon as we ran our first session, we found that the energy was high and an amazing space was created. We have planned and run some getting to know you games, as well as a scavenger hunt around the school to help the Year 7's feel confident in finding their way around. The visit to Year 7 Camp at Phillip Island was a productive and fun day for both Year 7's and us Year 10 leaders, and both groups are looking forward to their upcoming semester working together.

Year 7 Camp
As Year 10 Peer Support Leaders, we had the exciting opportunity to go along to Year 7 camp for the day. We started the day by joining the Year 7's in their activity groups. There was a mixture of activities like big swing, mini-golf, mechanical wall and many more. This was a chance to really connect and bond with the Year 7's and get to know them more while still having fun. Some of the Year 10's even got to have a go at the activity. We had the role of planning our own activity to run with the Year 7's for an hour. We got creative and did a range of games to meet everyone’s preferences which included Capture the Flag, Dodgeball and an Army Navy running game. These games encouraged communication and saw everyone bringing out their competitive sides. The Year 7's got to know each other more and we got to know them even more as well. It was really good to see everyone getting along, supporting their teammates and everyone bringing positive energy. Lastly, we got to join in in one more activity to finish the day. It was such a fun experience and all of the Year 10 Peer Support Leaders are so grateful to have been able to be a part of such a fun filled day.
