Year 10 Photography

Students have been learning a range of new skills across traditional and modern forms of photography. We have shared some of their words/thoughts about this and their photos as well. We hope you enjoy them.

Unit of Learning - Darkroom Exploration:

We have been having fun in the darkroom learning how to develop photos and how different times and lights lead to different results. We also did some photograms where we learnt about contrast in photographs and how different elements can create something meaningful. This class has been super fun with lovely peers and interesting topics!!

Unit of Learning - Digital Exploration:

We have learnt about composition, lighting and angles. We’ve mostly enjoyed learning about composition and how it can make a good photo. We’ve also enjoyed going outside and taking photos based on the challenges Mrs. Morley gives us.

Year 7 Art

Unit of Learning - Photograms

We have enjoyed creating the photograms in the darkroom and watching them change in the chemicals. We have been playing with the transparency of objects and have learnt that some transparent objects don’t always show up. We have also learned that we need red lights and not white lights when we are working with the photo paper.
