Inclusion Captains 2026

We are very excited to announce our Inclusion Captains for 2026. These students have demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting others, building positive relationships, and helping to create an inclusive school community where everyone feels valued and respected.
Jack Handley
Jack is a valuable member of our school community. He is a passionate astronomer and has a keen interest in aquariums. Jack has been a big part of the Connect Crew for the past two years and was a huge advocate for the Connect Crew establishing a fish tank in the Connect Room.
This year, Jack is taking on a mentoring role within the Connect Room alongside his role as an Inclusion Captain. He will also be working with Lisa Jones to organise and support the Lego Club, which runs every Tuesday and Thursday. Jack is a very outgoing student who enjoys building connections with his peers and making others feel welcome. We are confident he will be a fantastic leader and we look forward to seeing the ideas and energy he brings to the role.
Rubi Ward
Rubi has a very strong interest in inclusion and demonstrates a genuine understanding of the challenges that some students may face on a daily basis. She is interested in pursuing a career in childcare, and her caring and compassionate nature makes this a wonderful pathway for her.
Rubi has an incredible work ethic, which is evident through her commitment to both school and her part time job. She is approachable, kind, and always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Rubi’s calm and supportive nature allows students to feel comfortable speaking with her, and she is passionate about ensuring everyone feels included and respected within our school community. We are excited to see the positive impact Rubi will make in her role as Inclusion Captain.
Shayla Stewart
Shayla, is a dynamic student who has a lot to contribute to the Inclusion Team. She brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a range of thoughtful ideas that she is currently working with the team to further develop. Shayla has a strong passion for inclusion and works hard to ensure that those around her feel supported and valued.
Shayla has an extremely caring nature and is always mindful of how others are feeling. Her positive attitude and willingness to support others will make her a wonderful role model for her peers. We are very excited to see the contributions Shayla will bring to the Inclusion Team this year.
We are incredibly proud of these students and look forward to the important role they will play in promoting inclusion, kindness, and connection throughout our school community in 2026.
