Year 7 Wacky Racers

7F Product Design are super engaged and working really well to design and make their Wacky racers! they are have learnt about safety in the workshop and how to use hand tools to cut and shape their cars. We are looking forward to them racing at the end of the terms. Keep up the great work.

Year 7 Textiles

The year 7s doing Textiles this term are well under way with their Bunting Project. Many choosing to test some dyeing techniques such as tie dyeing. Some students have learnt how to combine colours, create funky patterns and even create a gradient to represent the sunset. 

We are very excited to see how their final project turns out. 

Year 7 & 8 Food Studies

Year 7 and 8 students have been cooking up a storm this term. From learning how to use knives in Year 7 and understand how to work in the kitchen to our Year 8’s perfecting their recipe reading skills and making some incredible food. 

7S and 7E are making their own Pizza’s next week for the Pizza Design Task. Our students have been learning how to select and order their own ingredients, annotate their own recipes, and design what their pizza will look like. They are very eager to create and taste their own Pizzas in Week 7. 

8A and 8H have been working hard to make Tacos this term. They have already made Tacos once and now get to choose their own ingredients, most importantly choosing their type of taco. The debate over Hard or Soft Shell tacos has been getting very heated in some of the lessons. We shall see what turns out best in Week 8.
