End Of Term 2 :
Health and Physical Education Update
Throughout Term 2, students in Years 7–9 have been developing and refining their athletics skills during Physical Education classes in preparation for our annual Athletics Carnival, held on Tuesday 23 June.
Students have participated in a range of track and field events, including sprinting, relay, shot put, discus, javelin, long jump, triple jump and high jump. Lessons have focused on improving technique, understanding event rules and regulations, and developing the fitness components required for successful athletic performance.
It has been fantastic to see students actively engaging in their learning.
The Athletics Carnival was a wonderful showcase of student effort, sportsmanship and house spirit. We were impressed by the enthusiasm demonstrated by students throughout the day, whether competing in events, supporting teammates or assisting with carnival activities.
The carnival provided an excellent opportunity for students to apply the skills they have been practising in class and to represent their house with pride.
The Health and Physical Education team would like to thank all students for their positive participation and congratulate those who achieved personal bests and outstanding performances throughout the carnival.
We look forward to continuing to build students' skills and confidence through a range of physical activities throughout the remainder of the year.
