End Of Term 2 :
Food Technology
The Year 8 Food Studies students from 8B, 8D and 8F recently completed their Term 2 CAT using the design process to create a pancake stack.
Students began by identifying the considerations and constraints from the design brief, before ideating and developing their own pancake stack designs. They then created a production plan based on the recipe to guide them through the cooking process in the kitchen.
A class vote on ingredients gave students a genuine say in the direction of their designs, adding a fun and collaborative element to the task.
After producing their stacks, students completed an evaluation, reflecting on what went well and what modifications they would make if given the chance to cook again.
The stacks turned out beautifully and most importantly, tasted delicious. Well done to all Year 8 Food Studies students on a great effort!
