Biz -E -Kidz Update

From Libby Hanna, Coordinator
What would you buy with 10 Biz-E-Buckz?
Last newsletter we showed you Eeshaan’s epic Darth Vader helmet. Can you believe in just two weeks he has created a full body costume of a storm trooper?! (From the movie Star Wars).
Children’s interests in commerce and the value of goods and services have been expanded upon in this week’s program plan, with Thursday’s plan incorporating signage and laminated ‘Biz-E-Bucks’.
We had a great musical day on the Pupil-Free Day with karaoke in the gym and some old favourite games outside including helicopter and tug of war.
Our new giant speaker “Bekky” has been really bringing the dance moves out at our Seniors Program. Some children attend K-Pop dance classes and are sharing their skills with peers, connecting over shared interests and practising their confidence in dancing in front of others!
Educator Jack has brought in a new menu dish of gluten-free home made 'mac and cheese' (except it’s penne). Children have been very enthusiastic about this and we are so glad to have hot options at before and after school care in this cold weather! Alongside pasta on Tuesdays and Mexican beans on Thursdays, every day we serve rice, potato wedges, a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables, tzatziki, rice crackers, cheddar cheese, edamame, seaweed and occasionally other dishes. We are always seeking feedback on our menu (and on everything) so please let us know your suggestions!
