Year 3

This fortnight the students have been learning all about ecosystems and how different animals interact. They have been researching and creating an ecosystem based around an animal. We will use this information to talk about food webs and the importance of biodiversity.

Year 4

The year 4 students have been building their understanding of ecosystems and biomes starting with animals, food chains and trophic levels. They have also zoomed out to look at ecosystems and biomes. 

 

Year 5

Year 5’s are continuing their amazing creature designs. This week we have been focusing on publishing our diagrams and information relating to the creatures adaptations. We have also started sculpting our animals out of clay and will be painting them in the following weeks.

Year 6

The year 6 plant experiments are in full swing! There has been some massive growth over the last few weeks. We have also been diving into the world of fungi and its many roles in the environment and its uses to humans. This week we have set up some sourdough starters. Fingers crossed we can keep it alive to make some bread soon!
