Preps

What a term it has been for our Prep students! We have learnt so much, we have pushed through some big feelings and come out the other side to very settled Preps who are eager to learn everyday. We have talked about how much our brains have grown and how proud we all are of what we have accomplished. Well done on being such positive and engaged learners!

Can you believe we are all starting to read? Our confidence to sound out words by keeping our voice on and recognise sight words in our readers is growing and the excitement is amazing to witness. Keep up the home reading over the holidays to ensure the hard work continue to grow and blossom.

Our writing has come a long way since the start of the year. We are learning to use capital letters at the start of a sentence; to put finger spaces between our words and use a full stop to show we have finished the sentence. There are so many different parts to writing and the students have taken on this challenge with positivity.

Our first whole school event down at Lancefield Park was full of proud smiles, fast running legs and everyone giving their best go! It was lovely having our Year 6 buddies support and cheering on our Preps for their first event. Thank you to Meagan for a successful and smooth school Cross Country.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Epilepsy Foundation by bringing a gold coin donation and dressing up in purple attire. It was lovely to see a sprinkle of purple around the school. We appreciate your support in this.

I hope you all have a restful and safe Easter, and I look forward to seeing lots of learning in Term 2.
