Year 5/6

It has been another busy and rewarding few weeks in Year 5/6, with students continuing to demonstrate our school values of Learning, Positivity and Safety in a variety of settings.
One of the highlights was our excursion to URBNSURF, where students took part in a swim safety lesson. It was fantastic to see students challenging themselves, building confidence in the water and developing important safety skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Our Year 5 students also showed impressive resilience during NAPLAN when there were unexpected issues with the testing system. Despite the disruption, they approached the situation with maturity and a positive attitude, successfully completing the assessment the following day.
We also held our whole school cross country, where all students gave their best effort and supported one another throughout the event. It was wonderful to see such determination and sportsmanship, along with some fantastic individual results.
To conclude our recent learning, students presented their Explorer Projects, taking on the role of a figure from the Age of Exploration. They spoke with great enthusiasm and confidence, sharing well researched information and engaging their audience in creative ways.
