It has been a fantastic and active term in Physical Education, with students across all year levels developing their fundamental movement skills and game understanding.
Throughout the term, students have been engaged in a variety of throwing and catching activities, building confidence, coordination, and teamwork. This led into a strong focus on basketball skills, where students worked on dribbling, passing, shooting, and applying these skills in modified match play games.
A highlight of the term was the Teachers vs Students Basketball Game, which was a fun and energetic way to finish off our basketball unit. It was great to see so many students involved, showing teamwork, sportsmanship, and plenty of enthusiasm.
Looking ahead, Term 2 is shaping up to be a very busy and exciting time for sport. Students will be involved in a range of activities and events including:
- State Swimming – Thursday 23rd April
- SHPS Cross Country School Thursday 28th May,
- O & M Division Cross Country Wednesday 3rd June
- Hume Region Cross Country Thursday 18th June
- State Cross Country – Thursday 16th July
- Golf Program (Gold Simulator Friday May 15th)
- Bike Education Program
- Hot Shots Tennis
- Wangaratta Winter Sports Day (Monday 22nd June)
We look forward to another term full of participation, skill development, and opportunities for students to be active and involved.
