RUBICON CAMP | Year 8

From 1–5 July, 46 Year 8 students attended Rubicon Outdoor School in Thornton for an unforgettable camp experience. Through activities including canoeing, mountain biking, hiking, and rock climbing, students challenged themselves both physically and mentally while developing resilience, confidence and teamwork skills.

The program provided students with opportunities to strengthen their leadership capabilities by making collective decisions, solving problems independently, and working collaboratively to overcome challenges. Throughout the week, students embraced new experiences, stepped outside their comfort zones, formed new friendships, and represented Frankston High School with pride.

Congratulations to all students who participated and made the most of this rewarding opportunity.

A special thank you to Ms Hannah Martin (Head of Year 8) for leading the camp, and to Mr Josh Metherell, Mrs Jess Knights, Mrs Michelle Beirouti, Mr Patrick Bloink and Mr Chris Sutcliffe for their support and commitment throughout the week. Their dedication helped make this valuable experience possible for our students.
