Three Frankston High School Students Named Finalists in the 2026 Berthe Mouchette French Poetry Competition
Frankston High School is proud to announce that three of our Year 9 students have been selected as finalists in the prestigious 2026 Berthe Mouchette French Poetry Competition, organised by the Alliance Française de Melbourne.
This year’s theme, Des ponts entre nous (“Bridges Between Us”), inspired more than 5,100 students from 97 schools across Victoria to celebrate connection through the French language. We are thrilled that our students’ talent and dedication have been recognised at such a high level.
Our 2026 Finalists are:
Monika Savani
Chantelle Walshe
Ayo‑Soleil Forster‑Jones (Honourable Mention)
All three students will compete in the live Zoom finals on Sunday 2 August, where they will recite the same poem they performed in Round 1 before a panel of assessors.
We congratulate these students on their outstanding achievement and thank their families and teachers for supporting their passion for French language and culture.
We look forward to celebrating their performances in the finals and sharing the results with our community later this year.
